Export Compliance Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Some of the hardware we sell is controlled under export and sanctions laws. This policy explains the checks AI Warehouse (ABN 40 466 852 258) carries out before a sale and what we ask of you. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Why we check
High-performance GPUs, AI computing systems and some networking equipment can be subject to:
- Australian export controls, including the Defence and Strategic Goods List;
- Australian sanctions laws; and
- United States export regulations, which can continue to apply to US-origin products after they leave the United States.
These laws can restrict who certain products are supplied to, where they can go and what they can be used for. We check sales so that we, and you, stay within them.
Before we dispatch
Before we confirm a quoted order, or dispatch an online order, we may ask you to:
- complete our end-use and end-user declaration;
- tell us who you are and, if you are buying for an organisation, give us its details, including its ABN where it has one;
- tell us where the products will be installed and used, and what they will be used for; and
- where needed, give us identification or other supporting documents.
For online orders, we contact you by email after checkout if a declaration is needed. If it is not completed, or we cannot approve the sale, we cancel the order and refund you in full. We may ask again for repeat orders, or if anything about the order changes.
When we may decline a sale
We may decline or cancel an order, and refund anything you have paid, if:
- we cannot complete our checks, or the information given is incomplete or inconsistent;
- we reasonably believe the products may be exported, re-exported or transferred in breach of export control or sanctions laws;
- we reasonably believe the products may be supplied to, or used by, a sanctioned country, person or organisation, or anyone on a restricted list;
- we reasonably believe the products may be used for weapons of mass destruction, military or other prohibited purposes; or
- delivery is requested to a freight forwarder, a parcel forwarding service or an address that does not match the declaration.
Your responsibilities
When you buy from us, you agree that you will:
- give us accurate and complete information;
- comply with all export control and sanctions laws that apply to the products;
- not export, re-export or transfer the products except as those laws permit;
- make anyone you later sell or transfer the products to aware of these obligations; and
- tell us before delivery if the end use, end user or location changes.
To the extent the law allows, you are responsible for any loss we suffer because information you gave us was false or misleading, or because you breached this policy. Where the law requires it, or where we have serious concerns, we may report a request or transaction to the relevant authorities.
Your information
We handle the information you give us for these checks under our Privacy Policy. We may share it with our distributor, the manufacturer or government agencies where needed for compliance.
This is not legal advice
This policy explains our own process. It is not legal advice about your obligations. If you are unsure whether you need a permit or licence, get independent advice or contact Defence Export Controls.
